Sales and Marketing Specialist

SUMMARY OF PURPOSE

Signalscape has supplied engineering services and products used by our country’s security, intelligence, defense, and law enforcement services to combat crime, fight terrorism, and provide for homeland security. Located in Cary, North Carolina, Signalscape has become a premier provider of specialty wireless systems and our expertise includes audio, video, and data transmission systems for mission critical applications. As a full-time Inside Sales/Marketing Specialist, you will work in our StarWitness division and primarily be responsible for supporting the sales and marketing functions. StarWitness makes innovative video-evidence products for law enforcement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop new business opportunities
  • Help develop and implement strategic sales plans
  • Generate qualified customer leads using email and phone
  • Create and maintain lead database
  • Use lead generation tools such as ToutApp, CRM (Goldmine), and phone to accomplish department goals
  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly appointment goals
  • Work with marketing to drive participation in events, promotions and campaigns
  • Develop email campaigns building on existing email and phone sales programs
  • Coordinate campaigns with website functionality
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge including participating in product training
  • Develop promotional content for website and email campaigns
  • Qualify sales opportunities through market/customer research
  • Communicate value proposition to prospects
  • Respond and process all customer information requests via all sources of inquiry; telephone, mail, e-mail, and web-generated leads
  • Provide support to sales and marketing as needed
  • Typing, faxing, e-mailing, mailers, filing, phone calls and other administrative functions as needed

 

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years related experience
  • Ability to obtain U. S. Government security clearance
  • Demonstrated experience working in sales, marketing and business development
  • Experience with Goldmine or similar CRM
  • Experience with E-mail tools such as MailChimp, ToutApp, FeedBlitz
  • Experience with social media tools such as Linkedin or Twitter
  • Experience with website tools such as blogger.com, weebly, google analytics, hellobar, youtube
  • Experience with online tools such as Acrobat FormsCentral and with Webinar tools such as Adobe Connect or prezi
  • Experience with government contracts
  • Cold calling experience

 NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Windows knowledge required
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Good planning and prioritization skills
  • Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Read, write, and speak the English language fluently
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals, including but not limited to employees, prospects, customers and vendors.
