Vehicle Telematics Program Manager
Title
Vehicle Telematics Program, Program Manager
Summary of Purpose
Responsible for the scope, timing, resources, and quality performance objectives for the program, which is comprised of several interdependent work groups.
Location
This position will be located in Stafford, VA and will have a full-time schedule. Full benefits provided.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day activities of coordinating and consolidating the development of technical solutions within the broad scope of Vehicle Telematics
- Ensure the requirements of multiple agency units are socialized among stakeholders and appropriately scoped
- Provide project management support for the individual technical efforts that are identified and assigned to various stakeholder units
- Lead teams and facilitate the communication and interaction amongst the functional representatives
- Track program against schedule, budget and against phase review objectives
- Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated events
- Resolve conflict amongst program team members
- Provide feedback to customer
- Recommend new processes where needed to improve quality or on-time delivery
- Recommend and lead efforts to improve existing processes to improve quality or on-time delivery
Qualifications
- Current Top Secret clearance is REQUIRED, with eligibility for SCI also required
- BA degree or equivalent in a technical business, government experience helpful
- 10 + years experience in high-technology environment, preferably government environment
- Work minimum of 8 hours/day/ 40 hours per week
- Available to start work first Quarter, 2012
- Strong presentation skills
- Previous program management experience
- Knowledge of Engineering principles
- People management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution
- General knowledge of operations, including scheduling and test engineering
- General knowledge of finance, including ability to read and understand financial data
- Ability to understand, track, drill-down and question activities and issues in all functional areas
- Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership and assertiveness skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to work effectively using program management and other tools on a personal computer for long periods of time
