Signalscape Awarded TSWG Contract For Forensic Audio

CARY, NC - March 12, 2007 - Signalscape is pleased to announce the award of a contract to support the Technical Support Working Group. The Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) is the U.S. national forum that identifies, prioritizes, and coordinates interagency and international research and development (R & D) requirements for combating terrorism. The TSWG rapidly develops technologies and equipment to meet the high priority needs of the combating terrorism community, and addresses joint international operational requirements through cooperative R & D with major allies.

Signalscape will be developing a software platform called Forensic Audio Spectral Analysis Suite (FASA Suite) for the Investigative Support and Forensics subgroup of the TSWG. The Investigative Support and Forensics (IS & F) subgroup supports research and development projects intended to provide new capabilities to law enforcement personnel, forensic scientists and intelligence operatives responsible for investigating and interdicting terrorist incidents. Work conducted under the auspices of this group has had a major impact on forensic investigations and intelligence operations throughout the world of law enforcement.

The sponsorship for the FASA Suite came from the National Transportation Safety Board, Vehicle Recorder Division. The NTSB will use FASA Suite for extensive and sophisticated electronic enhancement to extract the full amount of evidence that is available from aircraft and vehicle recordings.

Signalscape is proud of this opportunity to serve the USG audio forensics community.
